The Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG) is a thermal pullover with a distinctive Marine Corps style. Often referred to as a "waffle top" due to the grid pattern fleece in its design, it differs from other Military variants such as the Army's ECWCS Level 2 with its spacious hoody style front pocket, reinforced turtle neck collar, and unmistakable eagle, anchor, and globe. They are intended to be worn as part of a layering concept, providing insulated heat retention while sandwiched between and outer jacket and under layer in especially cold environments. Thumb holes in the sleeve allow the wearer to pull it through the sleeves of larger jackets easily without it becoming bunched up, and provide some additional warmth and comfort for the hands. The grid pattern and material construction is designed to allow air to flow freely through the inside of shirt while pulling moisture away from the body to provide warmth while avoiding grime and smothering heat. A front mounted zipper allows the wearer to open the shirt down to the chest for breath-ability, or when zipped all the way up, deploy turtle neck protection in more extreme temperatures. The front pocket will have you feeling like a marsupial with its cavernous space, ideal for gloves, hats, or simply warming your hands. Condition Guide
- All Frog Waffles are in Good condition, and may show some signs of use such as minor fraying, stains, or discoloration, but are free of any significant damage that would impact form or functionality.
