RACE FIT!
Imagine combining the warmth of a puff jacket with a thick wool sweater...Done?
Well, here's the Performance Puff Jacket, the warmest jacket you'll ever want to wear when temperatures drop around zero...!
Available in 2 tricot/knitwear print colorways, the Performance Puff Jacket is the go-to garment for those who prefer to be toasty by wearing fewer layers, those who ride in close to arctic conditions, or those on lower-intensity winter gravel rides.
Designed with a frontal synthetic Primaloft insulated panel sandwiched with a windproof/DWR rip-stop nylon that runs all the way back to cover your shoulders and a breathable thermal windproof/DWR printed fabric everywhere else, this jacket assures you're warm and dry.
Depending on how cold you get or how fast your pace is, you can layer it up or down to match your personal level of comfort with just a base layer or with heavier mid-layers.
Pair it with our Thermal Poly-merino jersey or our Performance Fleece jersey in arctic conditions; wear it with the Performance LS jersey or a simple base layer in less-than-brutal weather conditions.
IMPORTANT:
This is a RACE FIT jacket, which means that it is a tighter-to-the-body fit to keep the warmth closer to the skin.
Additionally, given the combination of fabrics, with the insulated panels being in nylon with NO STRETCH, the jacket will feel a little more compressive and less elastic than other jackets. Size up if you're looking for more room across the chest.
All of our garments are cut ergonomically for cycling, so the jacket is optimized for a bent-over position. Standing up may result in a slightly tighter fit across the chest, but when you're on the saddle and reaching for the handlebars, it fits perfectly, with no excess fabric or bulging anywhere.
TIP: Please size up if you're looking for more comfort or if you're bigger at the breast area because the nylon fabric at the front chest doesn't have any elasticity (i.e. if you're a size L jersey, you may want to look into getting size XL).
We've had many customers choosing a larger size than their usual for this jacket for comfort.
However, if you're looking for a tighter-to-the-body fit, as this jacket has been designed for, get the size from the sizing chart.
You can still fit a Merino jersey and a base layer underneath.
The measures on the sizing chart are for the garment itself.
